THE CLUB OF LEADERS IS IN FULL SWING FOR 2023

THE CLUB OF LEADERS LOGO CONTEST

Designing an Enduring Symbol

Dr. Jerry and the Malembe Rise team held a contest in November for all Club of Leaders students to create a logo for the club.

Below you will see Mapamu Bayiber's winning design!  Mapamu said, "What pushed me to draw this logo is to give joy to all the people who will contemplate the importance of the baobab tree and the importance of the Club of Leaders."

NEXT: The students will work together to paint the logo on the wall of the Hebrone School!

Take a Look at Mapamu's Winning Logo Design!

The baobab tree is the Club of Leaders' elected symbol that stands for  longevity and strength.

In early November, students planted a baobab tree in the school grounds. The students are doing a great job caring for this young tree and enjoy watching it GROW!

MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITY

Last month students gathered in small groups and took part in a service action observation walk to assess the community's assets and challenges.

Students are now reflecting on their observations to assess the community's most pressing needs. Once identified, they will develop a driving question that will guide how they can make a positive impact through service.

It's an exciting time and we cannot wait to hear what challenge they will address in the coming months!
